How to find the IP Address of your router (TP-LINK / Archer C9)

It is important to know the IP Address of the router on your local network. You need the IP Address to log in to your router to perform administrative functions, such as setting the Wi-Fi password. Most routers have a default address of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. However, some routers use a different IP Address.

If you have an Android device, you can run a check with RouterCheck to find your router's IP Address.

The instructions vary, depending on your operating system. Important: The device you use to determine a router's IP Address must be connected to the network, either wirelessly or wired with a cable.

Finding Your Router's IP Address Using Android

It's easy to find your IP Address from Android. Simply run a check with RouterCheck!

1. Use RouterCheck to run a check of your router.
2. When the check is complete, locate the "Router's IP Address" line on the status screen to see the router's IP Address.

Finding Your Router's IP Address Using Windows

1. Open the Command Prompt window.
2. Type "ipconfig" and press the Enter key.
3. In the output, locate the section that contains information about your network connection.
4. If you have a wired connection, this section is either "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection" or "Ethernet adapter Ethernet".
5. If you have a wireless connection, this section is either "Wireless Network onnection" or "Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi".
6. Your router's IP Address is on the "Default Gateway" line.

Finding Your Router's IP Address Using iOS

1. Go to "Settings".
2. Go to "Wi-Fi".
3. Click the name of the connected wireless network.
4. Your router's IP Address is on the "Router" line.
